OK, so you?re cooking out and sipping on some Shiner, which is a great time to you, but your kids find this insanely boring. We?ve scoured the webs to find some Texas-themed crafts and games so that everyone at the party has an awesome day.
?
Let guests big and small plant their own bluebonnet seeds into a small terracotta pot. They can decorate it and take it home so they?ll remember your super fun party forever.
Roll out some paper and lay out some fingerpaints and let the kids make bluebonnet or Indian paintbrush fingerprint pictures.
?
Get some supplies and let the kids craft themselves a Stick Horse. Check out this step-by-step tutorial. This is sure to be a hit and will keep the kids busy for the entire day! If you don?t want to get all of these supplies, don?t sweat it. Improvise, the kids aren?t going to care. When they?re done, make up some sort of relay race and let ?em loose.
?
Head to your favorite thrift store and get some old picture frames. You can cut out sponges in cowboy shapes like boots, hats, cacti or stars and let the children dip them in paint and decorate the frames.
?
Do a Western Dress up Relay! Gather two sets of western themed clothes and place them in piles. Divide your guests into two teams.?The first person runs across to the pile of their team?s clothes, puts everything on, runs back to tag their next team member ? then back again to the pile and take off the items.?They then run and tag the next team member in line and that person continues the relay until everyone takes a turn.
?Horseshoes, duh. Washers, double duh.
?
Get some cheap cowboy hats at a thrift store, or lay out your own, and let the kids do a Cowboy Hat Toss. Or you can string up hula hoops and have then try and throw the hats through the hoop.

Wanna go out instead?
